 | Can I drop in or do I need an appointment? | You may come into Sapphire Wizard Fired Arts' studio anytime! No appointment needed. We welcome families and groups. | | How much does this cost and are there "hidden" charges? | Our bisque pieces range in price from $0.50 to $50.00. You choose a bisque piece from our large selection and pay a flat rate studio fee of $7 for adults and $5 for kids 12 & under. There is NO time limit - you can paint as long as you like and as many pieces as you want, for the one low daily studio fee. Your studio fee includes everything from paint and supplies to glazing and firing! There are no other fees or charges! | |||
| | If I don't finish painting my ceramic piece, what does it cost for me to come back and finish painting it? | Nothing. The studio fee covers you finishing the piece whether you finish your work during one session or several. | |||
| | Will my piece be dishwasher & microwave safe? | We encourage you to treat all your hand painted pieces like fine china by hand washing. Dishwashers jostle the contents and could cause nicks or cracks to occur. Although each piece has been fired to temperatures over 1800 degrees, they are heated and cooled very slowly. The quick change in temperature in the microwave can cause thermal shock to your masterpiece. | |||
| | Do your products contain LEAD? | No. All products used at our studio are certified non-toxic. Each bottle has a non-toxic label that shows you it is safe. All of our glazes used by our staff to finish your masterpieces are also non-toxic and food safe. | |||
| | How long does it take? | An average size piece takes about an hour to paint; although there is no time limit. You may want to allow additional time for selecting your piece and socializing if you come with friends! If you do not finish in one sitting, you can leave your unfinished piece here and return to finish it or take it home with you and come back and finish another time - for free (as long as you only paint that unfinished piece). | |||
| | I´m not an artist! What kind of experience do I need? | None! Our experienced staff will show you, step-by-step, how to dream-up a unique piece created by you! | |||
| | Can I drop off my child to paint at Sapphire Wizard Fired Arts? | The safety of your children is our highest priority, therefore, unless your child is registered for a class, event, or over the age of 13, we request they have supervision . | |||
| | What ages is this for? | All ages are welcome. We can do footprints of babies or hand prints of great-grandma - the whole family will love Sapphire Wizard Fired Arts! | |||
| | Can I bring in snacks and drinks? | Yes! You’re welcome to bring your own food and drink or have it delivered. Pizza Factory loves to deliver, or we suggest catering services of Cafe Girasole. | |||
